Simply Golden Puppies Annie and Grace
Our 4th Generation moms
Annie ( The darker one ) and Grace are full sisters 6 months apart. They are 3/4 English Cream 1/4 American Golden Retriever. Annie is very petite weighing in at 50-55lbs. Grace is taller and longer than Annie. She weighs around 60 – 65 lbs. Both girls have champion bloodlines from 4 countries.
Although Annie is mostly English Cream Golden Retriever she carries the color of an American Golden and we are excited that many of her pups have had some “redish” highlights in their creamy fur. Annie looks like a smaller twin to her mom, Our beautiful ( retired ) Ellie.
We chose to keep Annie for many reasons. She melted our hearts with her extra devoted personality that showed up very early on. Always at dinner time her litter mates would be gathered around their dinner bowls eating and I would feel a little bundle of fur next to my leg. I would look down and there would be Annie, easy to distinguish because she was the darkest by far in her litter, looking up at me with a look that said ” you are the best thing ever”. Annie still loves to be close to me and one of her favorite things to do is to sit and swing with me in our tree swing. If I say the word ‘swing’ she runs over to it and waits for me. Annie loves to play ball and boy is she agile. She would do well, I think, in a dog agility course. Best of all Annie makes us laugh daily.
Grace has a quiet sweetness about her that is really special. She loves to just gently come up beside you and lean against your leg. When she is outside playing with the other dogs she will run up and stand in between your legs claiming you as “home base” Gracie’s coloring is a beautiful creamy color and like her mom Ellie has therapy soft fur. We chose to keep Grace because of her Gentleness and her Beauty and her wonderful Blocky head. Grace is such a sweet momma – if you have ever seen the video of the momma Golden Retriever “hugging” her pup when someone wants to hold it that reminds me of Grace. We could not imagine life with out Gracie.
